1. Protection from direct lightning strikes can be realized by installing lightning rods on the braced structure of the outdoor LED display. For the indoor full color LED display with tall buildings next to it, the lightning rods installation is not needed.
2. As to the counterattack of the steel structure, you can connect the steel structure to the enclosure of the LED display equipotential and well-grounded. The grounding resistance is generally required to be less than 10 ohms. If the resistance does not meet the requirements, an additional artificial grounding grid is then required. The lightning arrester should also be well-grounded.
3. To manage the lightning current induced on the signal line, you can install a signal lightning protection device on the signal line. The use of a signal lightning arrester is determined by the signal interface of the system. If it is a network cable, please install a network signal lightning protection device, and install a DB9 interface lightning protection device for the serial interface. The cross-sectional area of the ground wire cannot be less than 1.5mm2.
